BANANA NICE CREAM

This is one of my all-time favorite recipes. It is simple, quick, healthy, and downright delicious. What more can you ask for?! I have been using this as an ice cream substitute for a few years, and it has even been breakfast on occasion. Part of the fun is the ability to customize, and if you make some changes or additions, please reach out and let me know!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas (ideal if they are cut and frozen beforehand, but fresh will work)
  • 5 tablespoons nut butter (peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, etc.)

Optional Ingredients to mix in:

  • Cocoa Powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Honey
  • Dark Chocolate chips
  • Oats
  • Avocado (in this case, cut back on peanut butter by half)
  • Caramel + Salt
  • Coconut cream
  • Vanilla extract
  • Almond extract

The list could go on forever!

Toppings ideas:

  • Berries
  • Nuts
  • Coconut flakes
  • Chocolate sauce

This list could also go on forever…

Directions:

Put all mixing ingredients in a high speed blender (besides chocolate chips, if using). Blend until smooth, soft-serve texture. Let sit in the freezer for 30-45 minutes to firm up and obtain ice cream like texture. Take out, add your toppings, and enjoy!

Let me know your favorite combinations 🙂
